Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation recently partnered with the American Warrior Initiative to host an AWI gala in Boston, Massachusetts. This was a special event that raised money to honor a local veteran.
The honoree, Frank Reinhold III, served in the U.S. Navy as gunner’s mate aboard the USS Ford during Operation Desert Shield/Operation Desert Storm where he was awarded the Navy Unit Commendation, Combat Action Ribbon and Southwest Asia Campaign Ribbon. Following his service, Frank was diagnosed with PTSD.
Fairway branches and AWI together raised $12,000 to honor Reinhold with a service dog, “Belle,” from Operation Delta Dog.
Branch manager David Lazowski was happy to be a part of this amazing event, saying:
“The gala was an event that speaks to the heart of Fairway, and it allowed us to show appreciation. It was a wonderful chance to be with our partners and Fairway family and celebrate our veterans. What a special event this was!”
Founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. The AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, please give me a call.Tags: Veterans
